6 red flags of an illegitimate GLP-1 provider

Demands a large upfront payment for 3–6 months
Legitimate programs bill monthly. Big prepay packages are hard to refund if the drug or provider disappoints.
Won't name the dispensing pharmacy
A real provider tells you which licensed (503A/503B) pharmacy fills your prescription so you can verify its state license.
No licensed prescriber actually evaluates you
An MD, DO, NP, or PA must review your history. A form-only checkout with no clinician is a major safety red flag.
Pushes compounded vials with no brand-name option
Compounding has a place, but a provider that steers everyone to its own compounded product may be margin-driven, not care-driven.
Skips thyroid / contraindication screening
GLP-1s carry a boxed warning (medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN 2). Any provider that never asks is cutting a dangerous corner.
Hides the real price until you've signed up
Headline “from $X” pricing that balloons at maintenance dose, plus surprise membership fees, signals a provider banking on confusion.
